Gotcha sobro…great meme.

Thanks
Sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice. There’s a certain point at which ignorance becomes malice, at which there is simply no way to become THAT ignorant except deliberately and maliciously.

How low can this federal government go?

Just a few days ago the military told its chaplain service that religious prayers in official public functions are now forbidden. :200:

The move is part of the larger cultural change process in the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) implemented by the Liberal government, which aims to put principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) at the core of the organization. :200:

the directive tells chaplains they must “carefully choose words that are inclusive” and that they should use language “mindful of the Gender Based Analysis (GBA+).”

<Insert eye roll>
Another blow to our Armed Forces.

Now it appears the bosses have relented. But knowing this government, they'll be back.

Two years from now, when this "inclusive" [icon_lol2.gif] government is booted to the curb, saving our military and restoring some pride in it will be a monumental task.

I truly hope there is plenty of press coverage this Rememberance season.

It’s still hard to imagine how some *bleep* crown prosecutor would charge someone for daring to speak about freedom on Remembrance Day ... they are corrupt to the core ...

I heard one this am on Tic Tok. Someone wants to have a multi colored poppy ( PRIDE ).
I would hate to see this, men and woman actually fought for this country and lost lives doing so.

I want, I want I want.....
So what if some veterans were gay. Everyone wants to be special. Those days are coming to an end.
There's one poppy and it's for all veterans.

I'm with you the poppy has a symbol and like our Canadian flag it should not be tampered with or altered. I have no issue with gay people, I do have issue with it all about them attitude.

Regardless of who "wins" an election, they always are up against a Silent Elite. Do you believe the extreme poor who voted for Trump ever thought their non-profit support would be slashed right out from under them?

I was at the Remembrance Day ceremonies in Kamloops. A huge crowd as is always the case.
People being quiet and patient.
One of the few speeches made mention of the under funding of our military.
Hopefully that is soon changed.

But what really stood out was the crowd, 99% white which is definitely not reflective of how Canada is changing. Where are the rest of you?

I probably saw you there!

I was hoping to meet my friend Wall Smith but I didn't see him there. In fact, I was sad to note that I didn't see almost any "old timers" there, probably because they are gone. But still, it was good to see such a big turnout, and yes, I was struck by how emotional I became when I thought about how these brave people are now going to have to do even more with even less thanks to idiotic government cutbacks. So freaking dumb.

I was there to honour my grandfather, who fought for France in WW2 and for my nephew who is a lieutenant in our current Canadian forces. When I hear him talk about how decrepit things are for our military right now, I just get so sad.

We were at the cemetery today to honour a family member who had served. Another family member told me the poppy pinned into the ground in front of the headstone was likely placed by the cadets. One of my siblings asked how the cadets would have known he was a vet, since there's nothing to indicate it on the grave itself. Does anyone know?
Most academics operate in a rarified world where their highfalutin pontification is decoupled from reality. However, ideas have real consequences. Products, political systems, and policies that are incongruent with human nature always fail... Gad Saad

Similar, My grandfather on Dad's side was in France, Royal Horse Artillery WW1. He survived with just a bit of shrapnel remaining in his shoulder.
Grandfather, mum's side REMY'S WW2 British expeditionary force in 1940. Evacuated just North of Dunkirk. Did not think much of the French after that.

Dad, Captain British Army 1950-52. How he managed to stay out of Korea, I don't know.

I dunno if any Castanutters were in Naramata. Ended up being a great service, wind and rain stopped from the windy deluge around 8 am.

yep, really wish the Trudeau would take " We stand on guard for thee" to heart. Embarrassing really.
