Live cam: Grindavik is being affected. Rest in Peace to the man who fell down a fissure a few days ago. Iceland's real concern is the powerstation and Blue Lagoon, which was evacuated again last night.

Iceland is split almost down the middle on 2 different tectonic plates, western Iceland is part north american plate meanwhile eastern lceland is part of the eurasian plate. Add to this earth core is boiling over on this island.

And just as quickly as the previous eruption, this one is already dying out. But not before the smaller fissure eruption took out three houses with it. The wall that Icelanders built likely saved the entire town of Grindavik as the lava only has one breach, if it's a breach at all.

Live in Iceland right now. New eruption, basalt flood and cinder cone formation. The lava has cut off a hot water pipe to all of the Rekajanes Penisula in minus 12 conditions, which will freeze out 40,000 plus homes and the international airport.
