Cascade volcanoes still have large pools of magma

The Cascade volcanoes that dot the Pacific Northwest are not extinct. They are mostly dormant, meaning they could erupt sometime in the future.

June 5th, Kilauea is blasting lava straight up and filling the crater. Three Live Cams to look at but Cam3 is the one in focus.

June 11, the volcano is erupting with near record high fountaining!

June 29th, right now, it's a huge eruption in Hawaii.

Lava continues come to surface through existing volcanoes, inhabitants of our planet should consider ourselves fortunate. Alternative would be extremely destructive.

Of course long inactivate volcanoes become active again would be extremely scary i.e Diamond Head.
