Did that a bit different. Made notes of the cosmetic damages on the dryer of a washer dryer set,
then negotiated that against the price of another appliance.

Ended up with a drastic discount on the dryer, and a new fridge for less than half the cost, delivery fees waived.

It's all in the negotiation, don't be timid, nor an *bleep*. It works.

The washer and dryer sit in a dark corner of the basement anyways, Didn't care
about the scratch and ding for the money it saved in the long run.

That's 20 ish years ago now. All still working.

The UTC showed up today with both appliances, but one was damaged.
So this family still does not have a range.

So what kind of damage? Would it not work till it was replaced?

Perhaps "lending' a lesser model until the proper one arrives is an option... They have a family to feed! How upsetting, and Christmas coming..how are they supposed to bake cookies!

They could use the stove top and get an air fryer oven. Might get them by until a new one arrives.
