Sounds like the bunnies weren’t too happy.

They just did a major rehaul a few years ago and seemed to be able to accommodate up to 300 rabbits. Unfortunately the owner seems to be oblivious to the proposed charges recommended and might be getting a kick in the rear if she reads it here. No mention of what the changes were either.

That would have been a far more humane end for the rabbits over sending them to a rabbit concentration camp to suffer, before being put to death with a needle.

Sad for the bunnies... I reached out to them last year to adopt a couple of their bunnies and they said they wouldn't adopt out... yet the bunnies were having babies. They would have had near free roam farm here, children to love up on them... only locked up in their bunny shack at night for their safety...

Instead now two other bun bun's are living the lap of luxury. Kinda selfish of them, it was a flat out no - we don't adopt out... instead we just hoard till SPCA is involved.

Warren Peace has been closed to the public since 2018 when rabbit hemorrhagic disease was discovered in British Columbia. This is to protect the population within the sanctuary and outside of it. They have stopped adoptions as well. It was nothing against you personally.

Nothing has been said publicly about what the issues were within the sanctuary. Any theories are just speculation and misinformation.
