Re: Ease up on drug charges
Did you actually say that? Possession of drugs has no victims???
Comparing possession of drugs and possession of child pornography is stupid, possession of drugs has no victims while child pornography does. Do you drink coffee or drink booze? Those are drugs and comparing them to child porn is what brainwashed people do who watched to many just say no commercials in the 80's
How do you figure it gets into the hands of young teens in the first place or anyone else weak enough to be exploited? By the dump truck or by a small personal amount?
We are in this because having drugs in your possession makes you a victim. Stealing, dangerous acts, assaults, attacks, etc, etc see's thousands of victims. Yah, I get it, virtue signalling and being brainwashed is something so many are into today, and becomes their driving force to support craziness.
We have long ago turned a blind eye to small possession, Making it the law does not change one single thing for the ones that already carry.
We do not arrest people right now for small possession, it is used directly in front of law enforcement, explain how that will differ?
If we need to call it decriminalization to appease, then by all means, but lets not play stupid like its going to make a difference.

You really should take a course in beginners law understand how it works because if you have a basic understanding you may not be so quick to make assumptions and spew conspiracy theories..the truth wrote: ↑Jul 24th, 2021, 8:15 am https://www.castanet.net/news/Kelowna/3 ... ugs-in-SUV once again rcmp does its job and kelowna judges let these guys walk and deal drugs in are communties to kill your kids
And stop blaming just the drug dealers for killing kids because if the kids looking for drugs they're going to find it. They want the drugs, they seek the drugs out to take the drugs fully knowing the possibilities It's their own damn fault. No one's forcing the kids to do drugs.
If you want to lay some blame let's lay someon the parents. Let's lay a lot more on the government for not having addiction programs and beds in place for anybody that needs it now. And let's lay some blame on the lawmakers who seem to be continually easing up the laws so nobody's even scared to be caught with illegal substances anymore let alone doing them in public. Blaming the judges is silly because they are following the rule of law.
People's assumptions that kids nowadays are innocent little angels is also part of the problem.

Part of what you say is correct. Parenting is a big part. The thought that we need to put warning "Do not eat Tide-Pods". Really where is this world going??common_sense_guy wrote: ↑Jul 27th, 2021, 10:11 am

I do think we need to make the penalty for crimes more strict. There is no fear!
