I think there should laws about that now.

My experience is if you want happy workers, give them the best food possible.
Plus little things like Fresh coffee and tea.
I will get all this but their coffee may say Folgers on the box.

I broke down my costs, and my average at home cup with cream and sugar using good quality beans comes to around $1.00 per cup.
Even fresh cold brew.
Peanuts for happy productive workers.

No Kroyon - my MIL coffee was the worst. Rather than wasting what was in the maker she poured it into a pot - then until it was gone if you wanted a coffee she would boil it up on the stove! Beyond vile

Damn, I go there with a few friends once a week but we have stopped until this Corona thing settles down.

I liked the Van Houtte's they served and we use that at home now too. We might have to change where we go for Brekkies when we start up again.

Stu, you can get reusable coffee pods - that is what we do in our house. We have a Keurig, and everyone likes a different type of coffee, so the reusable pods work for us. Around town there is a purple one, that's the one that has worked best for us. We got them at Superstore. You know those big pails you get drywall mud in? I've almost got 2 of them full of coffee grounds, shortly starting on the third. In the spring those go in my garden.

We have those as well. Bought on AliExpress for 1/4 the cost here. At the moment we are drinking Van Houtte coffee.

Now I'm craving Bailey's.

Every day we make a big 10 cup pot of coffee. I use it through out the day, hot fresh coffee at first, then it cools and I actually use it to for half and half glasses of milk thoughout the day. Helps when you're working as much as I've been taking on lately.

We have been for fresh grinding Zavida, hazelnut vanilla, at times. But sometimes we use pre-ground, especially if we are just not into the extra step on work days.

The next time you are making Chilli try using coffee rather than water.
It is amazing as long as you don't eat it right before bed time.

Chilli tip number 2.
If your beens or peas for split pea soup don't soften throughout, add a little baking soda to your water or coffee.
Your water is probably a little acidic which stops them from softening.

I am calling this Kinda Chilli, and there is no recipe.
I used a 13 bean mix, some spices, several cups of coffee and threw whatever fresh vegetables I had in the refrigerator into the slow cooker.
It tastes pretty good, although doesn't have the traditional chilli taste.
Sorry I am using the photo from before cooking, the after wouldn't look as healthy or delicions.

My goal is to use up all my perishable food before I head north for work next week and thought it was the best way.

I do enjoy cooking and entertaining. So I am thinking about opening up a B&B or coffee shop after moms estate is settled.
It just won't be around the Okanagan because of the high costs

I will have 2 gopros up there and will be posting some YouTube videos while up there
The Northern Lights are usually amazing in February and March, so I am hoping to capture them.
