This dealership is small & probably doesn't have a employee that could go along on a test drive ?
There must be a tracking system that a dealership could use when their cars are being test driven or maybe criminals should be equipped with a tracking device on their 3rd. strike ?

Tim Bosma thought going along for a test drive was a good idea too. A $39 apple airtag placed somewhere in the vehicle will get it back and possibly help with an arrest (as if that matters these days). https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source= ... gPHIv5_qSk

If it was equipped with On-Star, they could have located the car, shut it down and turned on the 4-ways and called police.

My work vehicle was recovered in the same way. It was brand new so the trial subscription to the On Star service was still active. Not sure if On Star can be used this way if you don't have an active subscription. Also not sure what vehicle functions could be controlled with On Star (this was 2015) but the RCMP tracked the vehicle, waited until it was parked downtown and arrested the perps as they were getting into the vehicle. No chance for a car chase, no chance for the thieves to run for it.
When someone says they pay taxes, you know they're about to be an ******e.

I see that you can now get ON Star on your smart phone for personnel safety. (Although, I don't know how that works)

I've only had a dealer come with during a test drive once, many years ago. My goal during a test drive is to concentrate on the vehicle and not listen to a sales pitch, he/she is more than welcome to continue that discussion back at the dealership when I return from my test drive alone.
